In January, 2008, Bill Joplin’s Air Conditioning & Heating was awarded “BUSINESS OF THE YEAR” for a company with over 25 employees. At the time of this award, McKinney had just surpassed a population of 100,000 residents, was rated as one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, and thus, made this award even more prestigious. This award is given out annually by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of a business that has an excellent reputation, sound business practices, a record of giving back to the community, as well as being fair and honest in all of their business dealings
